New York Times on the Ropes
Jayson Blair was an up and coming reporter with the New York Times, the most over-rated newspaper in history. Recently, it came to light that Mr. Blair was less-than-diligent in getting the facts straight. Charges of plagarism, deceit and the like have been bandied about throughout the media. Yet the editors appear not to know how to cope. Might one suggest resigning? For more, click here.

The Jamel Family Graduates
In the midst of the news misery of last week, CNN broadcast a very uplifting interview with the Jamel family. The son was graduating from college like a great many young people his age do at this time of the year. What was different in his case were his classmates, or as he calls them, Mom and Dad. Tony Awards: Wasted on Most of America
The Tony Awards nominees were announced last week, and if one were to say, on the streets of Peoria, that "Hairspray" and "Urinetown" were hot plays, a glazed look of confusion would be the reply. Theatre in America means mainly Broadway, which stays mainly in New York. Hence, the Tony Awards mean little outside the provincial island of Manhattan. Click here to read more.
