Middle East Summit Fails Already
Even for the Mid-East, the failure of the latest summit was astounding. President Bush had not even returned from his trip (granted, he took a side trip to Qatar) before two major Palestinian powers, Mr. Yasser Arafat and Hamas, has largely undone whatever Palestinian Prime Minister Abu Mazen had achieved. Tony Blair Faces an Angry Commons
Her Majesty's Prime Minister, the Right Honourable Tony Blair, MP, PC must envy Texan George W. Bush about now. Both of them took their countries into an unnecessary war over weapons of mass destruction that may or may not be found. The difference is that Mr. Bush faces no opposition, not even from the Democratic Party, while Mr. Blair faces hints from his own people that he may want to draft a letter of resignation. Zimbabwe Chaos Continues
There is only one reason that the country of Zimbabwe is becoming poorer. The government is incompetent. While it is true that the post-colonial order in what was once Rhodesia did the people not favors, the inabilty of the majority-rule regime is exceeded only by its crooked hold on power. The man responsible is Robert Mugabe, who has run his nation ever downward since 1979. Click here to read why.
