Mr. Blair Bumbles
Prime Minister Tony Blair should have been smarter than this, or he is exceptionally confident. Last week, testifying before an inquiry chaired by Lord Hutton, Mr. Blair said that if his government had "sexed up" information about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction, he would have to resign. Does Mr. Bush Know He's Winning in Korea?
The hexapartite talks over the future of the Korean peninsula got underway last week, and the US is within an eyelash of getting exactly what it wants. The only fly in the diplomatic ointment is the inability of the some in the Bush administration to act as cynically as necessary. For once, the White House is pretending that it is constrained by honor, but to no useful end. Click here for more.

Iraqi Civil War Brewing
After Friday prayers, the Ayatollah Mohammad Baqir al-Hakim, Iraq's Khomenei as some have called him, was blown up by car bombs. Another 74 people joined him in death, and there were 140 odd wounded. While the culprits were not immediately named, there is little doubt that the assassination was carried out by Iraqis. Just what the western powers in Iraq need, a civil war. Click here to read why.
