Gray Out, Arnold In
The People of California have spoken, and they have to live with their decision. Gray Davis will cease to be governor some time in November, and Arnold Schwarzenegger of Stryia, Austria, will take up the role. He had better succeed, but the odds are against it. Click here to read more.

Bush Admits Losing Support by Creating Iraq Stabilization Group
The American government announced last week that National Security Adviser Condoleeza Rice would head up the newly formed Iraq Stabilization Group, and Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld said the creation of the group was no reflection on how the Pentagon has handled the occupation. That may be, although perhaps his assertion would be more plausible had he been told about the reorganization beforehand. Still, it is a reflection of how the president has finally acknowledged that he doesn't have a united nation behind him anymore. Click here for more.

Senator Graham Drops Presidential Bid
Senator Bob Graham (D-Florida) pulled out of the 2004 race for the presidency last week, and few noticed. "I'm leaving because I have made the judgment that I cannot be elected president of the United States," he said on CNN. One could have told him that before he entered the contest.
