God Bless Ireland
Today is St. Patrick's Day. It is customary for those Yanks who make a profession of their Irish heritage to bore the rest of the country with green beer and "Danny Boy" on this day, but they often miss the recent achievements of the Irish Republic and the Irish culture while dwelling on a past they never knew and which probably never existed except in legend. click here.

Wegner Wrong on One-Off FA Cup Matches
Arsenal's manager, Arsene Wegner, made a splash in the British press this week suggesting that FA Cup matches become ome-off games after the third round. He believes that having two games played, one at each home field, puts too much of a demand on the players' time. Mr. Wegner should stick to leading Arsenal's Premiership campaign and, if other non-league play should go, it ought to be the Champions' League. Click here to read on.

Hip Hop has a bad name in the media, and not a small amount of it justly acquired. The worries about violence and misogyny get an airing, while the crass egoism and vulgar belief in wealth seem not to bother reporters working for news bureaux that are owned by megaconglomerates.
