Monica Lewinsky's Program: A Bad Joke
Like a hockey-mask wearing psychopath in a bad teen movie, Monica Lewinsky has returned to torment America. This time, she's hosting a "reality" TV show called "Mr. Personality." Her name recognition is proof that America no longer knows the difference among fame, infamy, notoriety and celebrity.
That a fellatrix (a delicate word brought to us by the Romans) should have any kind of public persona is the height of bad form. After all, it was not her talent nor her price but the office of her partner in the act that made it what it was. As frivolous an activity as it is, one would rather know her for her handbag designs.
However, she is not the lowest of the low, but rather those who are cashing in on her dubious renown are. To them, she is an attraction that will help separate fools from their advertising dollars with a nice skim of the take for them. Retroactive abortion seems too good kind a fate.
Apparently, America no longer cares why one's name is known, merely that it is known. Slap some name that people will recognize on a product to sell it, whether it is a saint's name or a sinner's matters not. One looks forward to the cancellation of Ms. Lewinsky's program, but one fears she'll be back. If not, perhaps Mr. Charles Manson could find time to emcee a game show.
