Hang Up and Drive
Sweden, the world's largest exporter of unsolicited advice, has produced a report that may actually do some good. The Swedish National Road Association has released a study that shows hands-free cellphones present the same danger to a driver as a regular mobile unit. It seems driving with one hand or two makes no difference when driving with no brain. For more, click here.
Cameroon Plays On Despite Midfielder's Death
A young man, Marc-Vivien Foe, died during the Confederations Cup soccer championship in France last week, and his teammates' response is an inspiration. Mr. Foe was a midfielder for the Cameroon national team, arguably the strongest side in Africa, and his collapse in the 73rd minute of the semi-final has put a cloud of mourning over this mini-World Cup.
